New in Navarre 2.0: your own server. Navarre now brings its own media server, and the apps set it up for you - on an x86 NAS, a Windows PC, or a Linux box. Already run a Jellyfin 10.11 or 12, Plex, or Emby server? Keep it: open Navarre and point it at your server. Moving from Jellyfin? Bring your people and their watch history.

Navarre for Windows

Watch on your PC, and more: the Windows app can set up Navarre's own server on this PC, or connect to the server you already run, and it manages sharing, which libraries reach your devices away from home, and pairing. If your server runs on a Windows PC, install it on that PC - that is where watch-from-anywhere is switched on for a PC server. On a second PC - like a laptop - join with a pairing code to take your library with you: choose "I already use Navarre" during setup, or on an already-set-up laptop open Settings → Use this PC away from home.

Updating an older copy? If you installed Navarre 2.0.5 or earlier into a folder you chose yourself, keep nothing else in that folder: uninstalling or updating removes the whole folder. The default folder is safe.

Navarre for Windows includes open-source software, including a Java runtime under the GNU General Public License v2 with the Classpath Exception. The complete corresponding source code for those components, matched to this exact version, is at navarre.tv/source. Your rights under those licences are described in Navarre's terms, section 3.

Windows being cautious? Normal for a new release while our reputation builds: Edge may pause the download ("isn't commonly downloaded" - choose Keep, then Keep anyway), and Windows may ask before running - check that the publisher is Navarre Enterprises LLC, our code-signing identity through Microsoft's Trusted Signing service. The Help page walks through each prompt, and shows how to verify the file yourself.
